With the upcoming cold weather, Meade County Water District (MCWD) could have issues keeping enough water in the distribution system to keep up with demand. MCWD has identified and are working to complete multiple projects to get more water into the system and improve the resiliency of the system. Each project is in various stages of design and will take several months to get completed.
We are asking our customers to conserve water to ensure we do not exceed our pumping limits. We realize this is an inconvenience and we are working diligently to make the much-needed system improvements.
