With the upcoming cold weather, Meade County Water District (MCWD) could have issues keeping enough water in the distribution system to keep up with demand. MCWD has identified and are working to complete multiple projects to get more water into the system and improve the resiliency of the system. Distribution System Spring Flushing
April 26, 2022 — Meade County Water District will begin distribution system flushing on Monday May 16, 2022, until completion. Crews will begin flushing at our wholesale interconnect located just off Hwy 313 near the Hardin County line and will work their way through the system ending in the western part of the system in the Wolf Creek, Rhodelia area.
